A little bit about Mesa...

Mesa is a city east of Phoenix, Tempe and southeast of Scottsdale. It also touches Chandler and Gilbert and can be accessed via the Loop 202 or the Loop 101 and the US 60. Mesa is a city known for a variety of food like Mexican food and Asian food. The city has the Asian street which stretches about 3 miles long on Dobson and is a home to many Asian stores and restaurants. Elsewhere, the city also has mom and pop shops for Mexican food. The downtown of Mesa is not as robust as the other cities. In fact, it's quite quiet and only contains a few shops or restaurants of interests. There is just not enough to do in downtown Mesa. It's nice, the food is good but just not as robust as downtown Gilbert, Scottsdale, Tempe or Phoenix. Don't misunderstand, the food in the city is great. It has aspects that other cities don't have particularly the Asian food variety. The shops along Dobson have so many different restaurants and shops from different backgrounds. Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. All sorts of Asian food are available from noodles to hot pots to Korean Corndogs. There is also no shortage of boba tea shops either.

Some may say Mesa is far but it is literally next to 3 freeways (Loop 202, Loop 101 and the US 60). A quick hop on the freeway can get you there from anywhere in the Valley of the Sun. If you love Asian food, Mesa probably ranks number one in the variety of Asian food offered. It's always a treat to hang out at H Mart and the food court.
